Bad Things
I'm not really a Roblox player. I've probably played about 5 hours of Roblox games since I was 9. however, my irl friend loves Roblox, so she talks about it a fuckton. We both like horror, so that's mainly what we talk about. She played 'Bad Things' by ThatCactusMan a while back, and has been talking about it constantly. Sooo randomly, I made the decision to play it.
I can definitely see the inspiration from Mouthwashing in the best way possible. The rooms changing shape and little side games that add to the plot are so interesting. The music is devastating. I love it.
The Sailor scene really intrigues me. Something about giving up all parts of yourself to placate an abuser being presented through physically cutting off limbs to keep a fire burning. Eventually, it doesn't matter. The ship never reaches shore and an abuser is never satisfied.
Obviously, there isn't any way to justify Ivan's actions. He is a bad person, and Andrew doesn't need to forgive him. Although, I do see myself inside of Ivan and Andrew. I can tend to be controlling in group projects, etc. and therefore prefer to work alone. It's weird to see.
Anyway, it made me pause and dwell for a solid 10 minutes after playing it and it was very interesting :)!
